Investment Approach

Caniwi Capital is a cash flow driven investor and will generally only invest in opportunities that have strong existing cash flows and a high degree of confidence that those cash flows will continue into the foreseeable future.  This is generated through contracted lease rentals (in the case of property) or solid dependable business earnings (in the case of private equity).  Caniwi Capital assesses each investment opportunity based on pre-tax returns on equity with an emphasis on long term repeatable earnings.

In the case of investments out of the private equity fund, the firm looks for a close match between the views of management of the entities requiring capital and the views of the directors and executive team at Caniwi Capital.

Caniwi Capital recognises that management and employees of companies requiring capital are an important part of the value proposition of any given investment.
